Dunes City Expo

IMG_2729GSK staffers represented at the Dunes City Community Expo (Oregon coast) on Saturday and what a time we had. Met lots of people interested in finding out more about preparing in case of a natural disaster or manmade catastrophe. It’s really uplifting to see residents of a small town like Dunes City so interested in emergency preparedness. It makes us believe that the Emergency Preparedness message is finally starting to be disseminated throughout the land, and people are listening and paying attention.

Like we tell our “Family First” classes, if you just collect a few preparedness items and talk to your family about an emergency action plan, you’ll be more prepared than 99.9% of people across the U.S.

IMG_2722Great presentations were also free for the taking, of course besides our “Family First” outstanding presentation there were talks about pet care, prepping your home for wildfire, senior citizen & earthquake preparedness, and Oregon State Senator, Arnie Roblan was on hand to give everyone a Salem update.

All in all it was a great day spent informing and enlightening area residents on how to be better prepared. The day was fueled by the best chili and hot dogs on the coast. A big Thanks to organizer Jamie Mills and all those who helped out. We hope to be back next year.
