TAB 6: Emergency Supply “Stay-Kit”

Tab6NavTab6XIf there is an emergency and you must shelter-in-place, you will need basic emergency supplies to last you 72 hours (3 days). The GO|STAY|KIT® provides a basic EMERGENCY “STAY-KIT” checklist.

EMERGENCY SUPPLY INSTRUCTIONS

Sometimes during a natural disaster or other emergency you will be asked by authorities to stay inside your place of residence, also known as sheltering-in-place. If this occurs, you will need an emergency “STAY-KIT.”

The information and list contained in this section of the GO|STAY|KIT will help you gather together all the materials that you’ll need before you are asked to shelter-in-place.

For example, a personal “STAY-KIT” might include bottled water, blankets, and a flashlight.

In the event of a natural disaster or other emergency, the GO|STAY|KIT door tag (back cover) can be placed on the entrance of your residence. It will alert emergency personal of your whereabouts, and tell them what kind of assistance you need. One side of the door tag states that you are OK; the other side shows that you need HELP.
