2017 Solar Eclipse

On Monday, August 21, 2017, an estimated 500 million people across North America will be able to observe a total solar eclipse. Anyone within the path of totality can see one of nature’s most exciting events.

If you plan on traveling to a viewing site, take safety precautions and plan ahead. Plan for major traffic delays and make sure you take enough food, water, toilet paper, batteries, and other supplies to last you a few days. Gas stations and grocery stores are already running out of supplies. State officials are urging travelers to log onto www.TripCheck.com before leaving or call 211, an information number about the eclipse is set up for the public.
