BOSTON SNOW AFTERMATH

Bostonsnow1Boston is still digging out of one of the worst snowstorms in recent history. Schools are still closed today as the city tries to return to some sense of normalcy, in the wake of a snowstorm that left several feet of the white stuff on city streets and sidewalks. Over this past weekend the mayor announced there was a $500.00 fine for anyone caught driving on the public streets during the near blizzard conditions.

The adage that one CAN learn how to be better prepared for a natural disaster or medical emergency, (after going through one,) was proven once more-although it is sometimes a hard lesson to learn. Many Bostonians were better prepared for this snowstorm after having experienced Superstorm Sandy this past October.

Many people knew to have extra water and food on hand, and to make sure they had their personal emergency preparedness KIT at-the-ready. They were tuned into the very latest info on the snowstorm, and were also connecting with friends and family to try and stay one step ahead of the weather event. (photo credit – Taylor A.W., Boston)
