Today at 10:17 a.m. millions of people around the globe participated in the world’s largest annual earthquake preparedness drill called The Great ShakeOut. Over 18 million people registered to “Drop, Cover, and Hold On,” including individuals, organizations and businesses in 37 states, five territories and the District of Columbia.
ShakeOut was organized to help your community prepare for and recover from an earthquake, to encourage you to update emergency plans and supplies, and to secure your space in order to prevent damage and injuries during disaster.
