Pet First Aid Video, just when you think you have learned everything, you learn how to give mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to a German Shepard. That topic and other pet related first aid issues were discussed at a recent Pet First Aid class in Portland, Ore. Hosted by Jo Becker, Volunteer Technical Animal Rescuer.
The class was taught by Wayne Winter, a retired firefighter and pet first aid expert. He dealt with a wide variety of topics, from what to do if your cat has sustained a life threatening injury, to how to treat a dog that has been run over by a car, and everything (and we mean everything) in between. This comprehensive class was part of a 3-part lecture series on animals and emergency preparedness, created by Jo Becker.
