In September, (National Disaster Preparedness Month) we held a contest with the winner getting a free GO|STAY|KIT and a free emergency preparedness calendar. All you had to do was send us a photo of your 72-hour emergency preparedness Kit. Well, here it is. This is Gregg Swanson the executive director of Humaninet with a photo of his 72-hour Kit. Thank you very much Gregg, and keep up the good work. (Iridium satphone and solar blanket with its soft case.)
HumaniNet was founded in 2002 by a group of volunteers who recognized the need for technological assistance to humanitarian organizations. Since then, HumaniNet has grown to become a cooperative network of over 100 field organizations, and several supporting technology businesses. A group of volunteer experts also help with research and analysis. They find best practices, and share results in the growing fields of global information and communication technology. (to the right, in this photo is Gregg’s “under the bed” tray.) Gregg, you are very well prepared, your GO|STAY|KIT & calendar are on the way.
