BUFFALO PREPARES

Emergency Preparedness in Buffalo NY. People in storm-soaked areas around Buffalo NY began returning to work today as fast-melting mounds of snow fed into creeks and rivers that are starting to swell.

It’s still not clear yet if widespread flooding will happen. But the authorities are not taking any chances. It’s been a week since western New York was pummeled by an epic cold snowfall. But today, thermometer readings were approaching 60 degrees by midmorning, and some residents of the Buffalo area were out in T-shirts and riding bicycles, while others focused on getting prepared in case they had to shelter-in-place or go to an emergency shelter.Screen Shot 2014-11-24 at 10.58.03 AM
