Thousands more were evacuated over the 4th of July weekend as wildfires continue to ravage southern Calif hillsides. In the latest round of evacuations people were told to drop everything and get out quickly as wildfires crested a ridge, and threatened a community of some 1,000 homes.
Many people had to think quickly and grab just what they could carry as the fires approached. In a situation like this, it’s nice to have all your personal/medical info safe and in one spot, so that you can grab it and go. During a natural disaster, it’s not the time to be running around the house looking to gather up all your personal info and your 72-hour Kit. All that stuff should already be in place, at the ready.
