More than 30,000 people are going to need shelters as a result of the unrelenting rains and flooding of Tropical Storm Harvey, which is overwhelming Texas right now. Some areas have already seen more than 30 inches of rain.
FEMA says although there is no way to avoid catastrophic flooding, you can still be prepared. Have a GO Bag at the ready, and make sure your family’s personal & medical info is at hand. You can use a Go Stay Kit when you get to a shelter.
