This photo was sent to us today by one of our friends in Boston. Many people in Boston felt that the Marathon was a very safe place to be (up until today). Because there was such a friendly atmosphere, and a large police presence. However, many people are now afraid to be on the streets in Boston.
The first responders where there in a matter of moments after the multiple-blasts. Currently, there were 2 blasts along the Marathon route, and one at the JFK Library. The Boston Mayor’s office is telling people to keep off the streets and go home, so the police and CSI officials can do their job. A 4th bomb was also discovered before it could be detonated, police are examining that explosive device. Many people at the Marathon have backpacks, and this makes it difficult for police to search for more bombs.
