Freezer Tip to let you know if you lost power for an extended period of time. – Fill a small cup with water about half an inch from the top and freeze it. After it’s frozen, put a penny on top of the ice. When you check the freezer after a power outage and the penny is on the bottom of the cup, you’ll know that your freezer and refrigerator food needs to be thrown out.
