Give us a grant Uncle Bill. We here at the GSK were very much impressed & inspired by this recent LinkedIn post from Bill Gates, announcing that 100,000 chickens could change the world. We don’t know from chickens (we’ll let Bill handle that one), but what we do know about is emergency preparedness, and we also know for a fact that 100,000 Go Stay Kits could indeed change the world in a big way.
If we were to give away 100,000 Go Stay Kits, many thousands of seniors, families, low income individuals, and others would be much better prepared for a natural or manmade disaster or medical emergency when it occurs. FYI: It’s a 100% certainty that one of these incidents will occur, we just don’t know when.
Getting a grant to purchase 100,000 Go Stay Kits to give away is not easy, you really need a benefactor’s or politician’s help. We have approached politicians on both sides of the isle concerning our idea, but to get anywhere you must have contributed to their campaigns before they’ll talk to you (which is difficult for a non-profit to do.)
So, we put forth a challenge to Mr. Gates to help fund our 100,000 Go Stay Kit giveaway program. This would make a huge impact, and save so many lives as to be incalculable.
