Witness Canada, a huge wildfire is still ravaging the Canadian province of Alberta. Firefighters say the blaze now covers 700 square miles, they say it could be months before it is brought fully under control.

More than 100,000 people had to flee their homes under very difficult conditions, some getting just a moments notice to grab and go, whatever they could quickly take in their hands, ahead of the advancing fire. In the rush to leave, some residents were forced to flee without their pets, and a website has been set up so volunteers can reach stranded animals.
